Click the button below to download the Shoe Donation Form which will open in a new window. The form gives you a place to record information about the child you select. It also creates a donation “ticket” that should be attached to the shoebox when you drop it off at the We Care collection site. When finished, close the window to return to these steps.
Select a child simply by clicking the button below, and in the new window, type in your name and phone number next to the child’s information. Make sure to write down the shoe details on the Shoe Donation Form you just printed/downloaded. When finished, close the window to return to these steps.
Note: Please only sign up for a name if you are sure you can provide the shoes by the deadline. We want to make sure every child receives their shoes by Christmas. If you sign up and then cannot purchase the shoes, please email us using the contact form below.
Shoebox Pack-Ins include:
o Heavy duty tennis shoes are best - shoes that can be worn in all weather, plus can be used for gym class. If possible, keep the shoes in their original box.
o Warm socks are great to include, but please no ankle socks for some children walk in the snow.
o You can also include age-appropriate items in the shoebox, such as:
o School supplies (ex. pens, pencils, crayons)
o Small toys (ex. matchbox cars, small ball, yo-yo, small dolls)
o Personal care items (ex. small hairbrush, sturdy combs, hair accessories, toothbrush)
o Small games/activities (ex. puzzles, stickers, small coloring book)
You have 2 choices for wrapping the Shoebox:
We Care can wrap the shoebox OR you can wrap it. If you want to wrap it, please wrap the lid separately. The school Principals will inspect each box to ensure all donations are appropriate.

Our mission is simple. To show God’s love to children by supplying one of their basic needs – warm shoes. Through our annual shoe drive, hundreds of Appalachia West Virginia kids receive a new pair of shoes each Christmas. Our goal is to help a child celebrate Christ's birth with us.
We Care is a Strongsville, Ohio based organization that collects warm shoes for the children in the Appalachian coal region of West Virginia. We partner with West Virginia schools and churches to help those in need. Our volunteers come from all over the community to help collect, sort, pack, wrap and deliver shoeboxes to schools and churches in West Virginia. We are a non-profit organization with Grace Church located in Middleburg Heights, Ohio.
We Care has been serving the Appalachia coal area of West Virginia for over 35 years. Because of people like you, We Care has touched countless lives by providing food baskets, building projects, and supplying shoes to children in need. God has been so faithful.
