Our Mission
Our mission is simple. To show God’s love to the children of the Appalachia coal mining area of West Virginia by supplying their basic needs – warm socks and shoes, plus coats, food and personal hygiene items.
God loves the little children of the world, and We Care has been honored to focus on those that live in our own backyard. Through our annual Christmas shoe drive alone, hundreds of children receive a new pair of shoes - our goal is to help each child celebrate Christ's birth with us.

About Us
We Care is a Strongsville, Ohio based organization that provides items such as shoes, socks, food, coats & hygiene items to the children of the Appalachian coal region of West Virginia. We partner with WV churches & schools to help specific children in need. Our shoe drive supplies hundreds of shoes per year to children. We Care supports events where students learn about post high school opportunities (college/military) & provides small scholarships to help students pay for their next steps after high school. We are a non-profit organization with Grace Church located in Middleburg Heights, Ohio.

35 Years & Counting
Teresa (Terry) Evans started We Care over 35 years ago. Growing up in the Appalachia coal mining hills of West Virginia, Terry experienced the struggles of living in poverty. God, who is loving and merciful, put it in the heart of Terry and hundreds of volunteers over the years, to reach families that are living in poverty and are in need today.
God has been so faithful. Let’s continue to share His love this Christmas by warming the children’s little toes and bringing big smiles to their faces – one pair of shoes at a time.
